Damascus Township Prepares for Potential Data Center Development

An October 2025 poll from the Environmental Defense Fund found that 92 percent of Americans believe protecting clean air and safe drinking water should be treated as a top public health priority, just like preventing disease.
Some states are stepping in to fill the gaps while the EPA and Congress strip away the already insufficient policies protecting people from chemical exposure. The New York legislature is currently considering the Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act, which would not only reduce single-use plastic packaging but also phase out the most toxic chemicals used in it, including phthalates and the entire family of PFAS chemicals.
