Learn About the Economic Impacts of Fracking in PA

Attend the Delaware River Frack Ban and Climate Action Coalition webinar on Wed., Jan. 28, at 7 pm

Fracking has dominated the energy economy in Pennsylvania for more than 15 years. Although fracking has had devastating impacts on human health and the environment, its supporters have touted its economic benefits. Learn the truth about the economics of fracking by attending this webinar on Wednesday, January 28, at 7 pm. DCS (a member of the Frack Ban and Climate Coalition that developed the program) has, since it’s inception, emphasized how the oil/gas industry’s practices and their exemptions to major environmental laws has externalized their impacts, so those costs are put on the surrounding communities, down-stream and even to global levels. These impacts are to human and environmental health and economics.

The featured speakers will be Elizabeth Marx, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Utility Law Project (PULP) and Sean O’Leary, senior researcher, energy and petrochemicals, at the Ohio River Valley Institute. Tracy Carluccio, Deputy Director of Delaware Riverkeeper Network, will host the webinar.
