Plug In Solar Proposed for PA and NY
December 2, 2025Please Donate Today to Help Us Continue this Essential Work in 2026.
Science-based advocacy, real results – that’s been the DCS way since 2008.
Every tax-deductible dollar you give directly funds our watchdog work – keeping our region safe from exploitation, and you and your neighbors informed.
In 2008, we sounded the alarm about fracking threats to the East Coast. By 2023, we’d helped secure frack bans across New York and the entire Delaware River Basin – and successfully fought to keep liquid drilling waste out of our watershed. Today, we’re tackling new threats: from climate-damaging fossil fuel infrastructure to industrial projects that threaten our rural character.
With your support, we can continue to fight to:
- Defend the Delaware River Frack Ban – We helped win this historic protection in 2021, but it’s under threat. We’re monitoring every move, and we’re ready to fight back.
- Challenge Regulators When Necessary – We support the DRBC, but we’ve also sued them when they tried to create exemptions allowing toxic wastewater dumping.
- Stop a Sullivan County Incinerator – A proposed “Waste-to-Energy” facility would produce toxic emissions in our literal backyard. We’re advocating for real solutions to the county’s solid waste challenges.
- Expose Data Center Threats – Massive data centers proposed for PA and NY would consume enormous amounts of energy and water while generating noise pollution, health hazards, and driving up local costs. We’re sounding the alarm before it’s too late.
- Protect Our Rural Character – From Camp FIMFO (a 40-million-dollar resort proposed for the Delaware River floodplain) to infrastructure projects that threaten local communities, we’re pushing back against inappropriate development that would fundamentally change our region.
Behind every one of these efforts are hundreds of hours of research, testimony, coalition-building, and strategic action. We do this work so you can trust that someone is watching, questioning, and fighting for our region’s future. But we can only continue with your support.
Sincerely,
B. Arrindell
