Thanks to You, We Made Our Match!

The Delaware River in winter

Thanks to Generous Donors Like You, DCS Has Made it’s Match for 2018 and Now Turns it’s Attention to 2019

Generous supporters provided a $12,500 matching fund for 2018, and you stepped up to the plate to match it with your donations. These funds will enable DCS to pursue critical work in 2019. At the top of our list is achieving a ban on fracking in the Delaware River Basin (DRB).

In 2019, DCS will be working with the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) to achieve passage of their proposed ban on fracking. We will also be working to ban the import of frack waste into the Basin and to ban the export of our clean water to support fracking elsewhere.

DCS will also be supporting the DRBC against a lawsuit by the Wayne Land and Minerals Group (WLMG), which challenges the DRBC’s authority to regulate fracking.

DCS will continue to fund original science, collect health data via our Drilling Impacts and Health Survey, as well as other important work. Thanks for your generous support, which makes all of our work possible.

Ban Fracking in the Basin:

The governors of Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania will decide the future of the DRB. If you are a resident of one of these states, contact your governor and tell them: Ban fracking in the Basin!
