DCS is Fighting to Save a Treasure!

New deadline for submitting comments is February 7, 2022.

DCS Attorney, Lauren Williams, crafted a series of letters to PennDOT Employees and Representative, campaigning for the extension. She made clear that the reasons PennDOT cited for destroying the Skinner’s Falls/Milanville bridge are illegal and contrary to the desires expressed in public input. PennDOT has not answered public comments already submitted.

Now, we have an additional month to submit comments. Multiple comments are accepted electronically. Please help save the bridge and stop the degradation of this rural community. You can submit comments online to PennDOT here. We ask that you also email your comments to DCS so we can make sure they are taken into consideration.


The fate of the historic Skinners Falls Bridge is at stake. DCS is fighting to save this landmark bridge and preserve the character of the Milanville historic district. Here are letters that DCS has written to PennDOT regarding this matter, and one that DCS received in response:

Please copy your comments to DCS, so we can follow-up and make sure they are taken into consideration.
